Police Brutality

I have  handled many cases involving wrongful arrest, false imprisonment, assault and negligence.  These have included Police shootings leading to death;  arrests in which the suspect has been seriously injured as a result of being assaulted,  and injuries caused by a failure to provide needed medical care to persons in police custody.  In a recent case, a Police officer beat my client with a baton – breaking both his arms and causing a brain contusion.  The Client underwent five operations following the incident, was out of work for almost two years and had permanent physical problems going forward.  I took the case after it had been rejected by a number of other lawyers.  After three years of litigation, I was finally able to negotiate a substantial settlement for the client.  This is fairly typical of what are often difficult cases, requiring a good deal of persistence and determination to bring to a successful conclusion.
